Shermeen Tabet is a multidisciplinary artist based in Beirut. She holds a degree in graphic design from The Lebanese American University and a BA in Fashion Design with Print from Central Saint Martins. After gaining experience working for renowned designers such as Narciso Rodriguez, in Paris, London, and New York, Shermeen returned to Beirut. There, she dedicated her time to teaching fashion design at The Lebanese American University and Creative Space; a tuition-free school for fashion design, before focusing full-time on her career as an artist specializing in paintings and ceramics. Her ceramic work showcases the Japanese technique of nerikomi, where colored clay is skillfully stacked and then sliced through to reveal intricate patterns, which are then used to create her decorative pieces.
