TIM SILVER
Made from impermanent materials, Silver’s sculptures usually begin decaying the moment they are born. They denounce permanence that sculpture historically embodies and echoes the human condition. By photographically articulating the passage of decay, each stage of decomposition is rendered permanent.
Tim Silver completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney in 1997 and a Master of Fine Arts by research from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales in 2004. His solo exhibitions include exhibitions at Breenspace, Sydney and The Tuvaluan Project, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne 2008. Group shows include the 47th Art Salon, City of Belgrade, Serbia 2006.
