Richard Tuttle (b. 1941, Roselle, NJ) has been exhibiting internationally since his 1965 exhibition of constructed paintings at the Betty Parsons Gallery. The subject of a major retrospective at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 2005, Tuttle’s practice has resisted categorisation while remaining integral to an understanding of post–1960 contemporary art.
