'Ferment' suggests origins, a place where a well spring of creativity might emerge. It speaks to the latency and painterly decay in old rooms and of their former glory. Rooms that offer become studios for artists or residences. Ferment suggests the absent creator, absent artist and of their artistic activity in rudimentary spaces and from often very humble beginnings...and endings.
