On Kim's prolific range of performances, multi-media installations, sound works, videos, prints, and works on paper are her experiments to transform signifiers in reading, writing and hearing, into a visible, sculptural language. As a graduate student in the Object-book department at the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, France, Kim's earliest works explored the concept of books. More recently, her works investigate the infinite possibilities of connecting the immaterial quality of sound to text.
