Etsu Egami is born in 1994 in Japan. Growing up under different cultures and countries, she realised that 'languages can only be sensed, not explained'. She is inspired by her experiences in language barriers throughout her life; therefore, it is often to see diverse media forms in Etsu's works. Those works consisted of voice, video and drawing. These elements echoed each other to point out her doubts and questions in human's sensation and investigate the communications of the society.Read More
Etsu Egmai acquired a BFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and study abroad at Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. Etsu Egmai grown up in US and Europe and now living in China.
