CASEY REAS

Reas' software, prints and installations have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Europe and Asia, and can be found in the permanent collections of prominent museums, including the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Whitney Museum of American Art and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. His recent solo exhibitions include An Empty Room (2023) at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; Conjured Terrain (2023) at Digital Art Museum (DAM), Berlin, and It Doesn't Exist (In Any Other Form) (2023) at bitforms, New York.

Reas is currently a Professor of Design Media Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles where he also co-directs Social Software, an initiative focused on examining the social impacts and possibilities of making with software. He holds an MS in Media Arts and Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati.
