Rodrigo Andrade Biography

Rodrigo Andrade started his artistic formation at the studio of Sérgio Fingermann and studied at the Studio of Graphics Arts, Glasgow. From 1982 to 1985, he was part of the group Casa 7, with Carlito Carvalhosa, Fábio Miguez, Nuno Ramos and Paulo Monteiro. Andrade received, from the beginning of his carreer, important prizes in national art salons.

Since 1986, he held several solo exhibitions in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte and took part in numerous group shows in Brazil and abroad. In 2000, he started a series of pictorial interventions in open spaces: Projeto Parede, at the Museu de Arte Moderna (São Paulo, Brazil); and Paredes da Caixa, at the Museu da Caixa Econômica Federal (São Paulo). In 2004, he received the scholarship Vitae of Fine Arts. In 2010, he participated in the 29th Bienal de São Paulo.
