Artist Sanghoon Ahn is known for his experimental approach to painting exploring the medium's materiality and personal connections to him. In addition to working with traditional support such as linen and canvas, Ahn also paints on comparatively fragile or transient surfaces such as vinyl and plywood. The titles of his works are often deliberately ambiguous, which reflects the artist's emphasis on the neutrality of both the titles and paintings as he told Gallery Chosun in 2020.
