John Giornio's current exhibition with Almine Rech in London features the artist's iconic 'Rainbow' paintings, which draw from poetry that is sometimes sardonic and mischievous.

The exhibition text notes that Giornio's 'kaleidoscopic work fused and furthered poetry, visual art and activism, pushing text off the printed page and into the social realm.'

Giorno was a key figure of New York's creative avant-garde for many decades, ingratiating himself with the likes of Andy Warhol, William Burroughs, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jasper Johns.

Since his passing in 2019, market interest in the multifarious artist's works has continued to rise, with solo and two-person exhibitions and presentations at Sperone Webster and Moran Moran.
