At Stand C8, Thomas Dane Gallery features work by: Terry Adkins, Hurvin Anderson, Lynda Benglis, Anya Gallaccio, John Gerrard, Ella Kruglyanskaya, Luisa Lambri and Marisa Merz.
Coinciding with Frieze LA, John Gerrard's Western Flag (Spindletop Texas), (2017) will be included in the 2019 programme of Desert X, opening on 9th February. The work will be installed on a giant, custom built LED screen standing in the desert on the outskirts of Palm Springs, CA. The live, on-going simulation depicts the site of the ‘Lucas Gusher’—the world’s first major oil strike—in Spindletop, Texas and will continue to unfold in realtime throughout the course of the exhibition and beyond.
