DANIEL CROOKS
b. 1973, AustraliaDaniels Crooks is a sculptor, photographer and time based artist. His work creates slippages between visual perception and temporal experience. Collating fragments of movement in his video works, Crooks poses a question of the metaphysics of the image and reality. Often this results in mesmorizing panoramas suspended in time, while his portraits destabilise their subject by splicing together multiple narratives.
