In January 2021, LIU Xiaodong returned to his hometown of Heitukeng in Liaoning and painted 18 works on paper depicting his family and homeland, plus a poem penned with ink and brush. In the summer of the same year, LIU authorised ESLITE GALLERY to turn this precious watercolour book into a limited-edition print book. Utilising advanced Giclée printing technology, and complete with the cover of Japan’s MUSE-Touch II watercolour sketchbook, the original watercolour paintings are reproduced in their finest details, enabling LIU’s artworks to be shared with more art lovers.
