Press Release
Welcome to the exhibition of Jin Yanan, Liu Yi, Xiao Longhua and Zheng Wenxin! Welcome to the reopening of ShanghART at M50! Welcome all! Let spring water create ocean waves!

Jin Yanan
“Facing such a sticky world, I can’t live effectively from a macro perspective without concerning the specific question. So I am trying to find a way, which can consistently measure the density of a specific part of the daily air. By diluting or cutting the air into several ideological shaped pieces, I can piece them together to a cognitive flat surface in order to help myself comprehend these detailed problems.”

Liu Yi
“Time surpasses the spatial partition, the living conditions in various urban regions, the state of nature, the social norms and the potential development of societies. No matter it is an impromptu capture of dynamic memories or a theater scene in the memory, which all turn into a shared living theater.”

Xiao Longhua
“These specially selected objects have naturally collided, integrated then formed new shapes during the impromptus creation, new narratives are emerged in the constituted relationship which combines the individual mode of functionality and stories. While delving into the more in-depth level, how to lessen the loss of the individual characteristic enthusiasm in order to unfold the authentic texture and content during the process of integration becomes essential to be considered. Same situations also applying to how to work more freely as well as how to better sustain the pleasure while creating artworks. ”

Zheng Wenxin
“I would like to serialise the surging fragmented information by an illusioned way, trying to interpret people’s tenderest emotional world when piecing through the artificial barrier. In the meantime, I hope to free the self-control spirit, enjoy and revive a flexible space for creation with a more open-minded attitude and various angles towards paintings.”
