For the 2022 edition of the Salon du Dessin, the Helene Bailly Gallery will present a collection of works retracing nearly 100 years of creation by the masters of Impressionist and Modern Art such as Renoir, Matisse, Van Dongen, Picabia, Léger, Picasso, Miro, Calder, Poliakoff, Giacometti, Hartung and Bernard Buffet. No longer just sketches, our subjects explore the intimate and the decorative through a vivid palette.
With a plurality of techniques such as charcoal, gouache, watercolour or pastel, our artists explore the 20th century as a real field of investigation where, according to Claude Schweisguth, 'the act of creation is less intimidating than elsewhere.'
