For this year's edition of the Milan Fair, we have conceived a dialogue between the works of Carlos Cruz-Diez (1923–2019), Alberto Biasi (1937) and Wolfram Ullrich (1961), to pay tribute to three artists who have set milestones in the development of optical and kinetic art. Carlos Cruz-Diez and Alberto Biasi are two artists who participated in the renowned exhibition The responsive Eye at New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1965. With the work of Wolfram Ullrich we want to establish a connection between different generations of artists dealing with optical illusion as well as the physical involvement of the viewer. Since the foundation of Dep Art, we have been interested in optical-kinetic art, which we initially presented to our audience mainly with Italian artists such as Alberto Biasi. Over the years we have broadened our optical horizon and now present important international positions of Optical Art with Wolfram Ullrich and especially Carlos Cruz-Diez.
