
Kutlesa is pleased to announce an exhibition of new works by São Paulo‑based artist Alexandre Wagner at the gallery’s New York location, marking the artist’s second solo show with the gallery.
Alexandre Wagner (b. 1986, Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil) studied visual arts at UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais) and graduated with a degree in painting in 2011. Currently based in São Paulo, Brazil, his solo exhibitions include: Pequenos formatos at Baró Galeria, São Paulo (2018); Água-Viva, Galeria Marilia Razuk, São Paulo (2021); Fagulha, Gate, New York (2022); and Aurora at Kutlesa, Switzerland (2023). He has also participated in several group exhibitions, such as 11 Abre Alas, Galeria A Gentil Carioca, Rio de Janeiro (2015); Oito Artistas, Galeria Mendes Wood DM, São Paulo (2016); Fresh Nature, Kutlesa, Switzerland (2023); Blue Hour, curated by Joan Tucker, Phillips, New York (2024); Cirrus: On Landscape, curated by Jenn Ellis at NISO, London (2024); and Painterly (In)Definition, Ambar Quijano, Mexico City (2025).
