Alisan Fine Arts (AFA) is thrilled to announce its participation in the upcoming Ink Asia Art Fair 2024, presenting a captivating group exhibition themed around contemporary landscapes at booth C17. Founded in 1981, Alisan Fine Arts has been a pioneer in advancing the understanding and appreciation of contemporary ink art both locally and internationally. This year, AFA continues its commitment to promoting contemporary ink art while celebrating the spirit of ink through a diverse array of techniques and interpretations, including two site-specific installations by respective female artists Fan Yan (Étude at C19) and Angel Hui (Angel Hui Pop Up Store at public art space).

Our booth invites viewers to explore the multifaceted interpretations of landscape through the lens of ink art. Each piece reflects the artists’ unique perspectives - whether grounded in reality or born from the imagination - all resonating with the rich traditions of ink painting. This exhibition emphasizes the dynamic relationship between the historical roots of landscape paintings and its contemporary expressions, showcasing how these artists honor tradition while pushing the boundaries of the medium.

The works displayed will highlight the enduring allure of ink, revealing its capacity to evolve and adapt through time. As the artists draw upon their diverse cultural heritage and personal experiences, they create landscapes that are both deeply personal and universally relatable.
