Stella Zhong’s practice spans activated objects, recorded situations, and built environments. Born in Shenzhen, China (1993), Zhong has lived in Beijing, the UK, and recently the US. She holds a BFA in Glass from Rhode Island School of Design(2015) and is currently an MFA candidate in Sculpture at Yale University(2021). Zhong has had solo presentations at The Independent, NY; Spring/Break Art Show, NY; Peninsula Art Space, Brooklyn; Weybosset Gallery, Providence; and Guan Shan Yue Museum, Shenzhen. She has participated in group exhibitions at Chapter NY, NY; ZH Projects, NY; Essex Street Gallery, NY; Tiger Strikes Asteroid, NY/Philadelphia; Hunter College, NY. In Fall 2020, Zhong will open a solo exhibition at Chapter NY in New York.
