LUIS GISPERT
Luis Gispert is a New York based artist, graduated from Yale University. He creates works which amend a union between the classic subject matter and contemporary urban aesthetics. His use of cultural symbols communicate a continuous cultural history, mirroring the political and complicated nature of the subjects and the affected culture at hand. Gispert has exhibited widely at the Whitely Museum of American Art, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami; Saatchi Gallery, London, UK; Royal Academy of Art, London, UK; The Contemporary Museum Honolulu, HI; Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, IL; Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Houston, TX. He is a recipient of many awards and grants as well as being collected amongst top international collections.
