Claudia Jowitt completed her Master of Fine Arts at the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland at the end of 2015. Like aerial views of a not quite recognisable landscape, her paintings explore texture, form and mark-making teasing notions of representation. She has also won the 2016 Tautai/Dunedin School of Art Residency which she will take up in April.
