Herbert BRANDL, born in 1959 in Graz, is an Austrian painter whose abstract pictorial universe suggests an atmospheric color space. The landscape is a recurrent subject in BRANDL’s paintings, which are written out in diverse facets: from impressionistic over expressionistic to sensitive pictorial.

In 2007 he was the Austrian representative at the Biennale di Venezia.
