Miami’s Untitled Art has announced the details of its first Houston edition, which will give the rapidly expanding fourth most populated city in the U.S. a marquee art fair after Houston Fine Art Fair folded in 2015 followed by Texas Contemporary Art Fair in 2017.
Between 19 and 21 September 2025, the fair will welcome close to 84 galleries to the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.
Michael Slenske, Director of Untitled Art, Houston, spoke of the city’s rise and continued growth: ‘This is a moment when all of Houston’s top museums are in expansion mode,’ he said, adding ‘as are the city’s emerging and established galleries and project spaces’.
Mirroring the city’s diverse demographic, the fair will feature a wide range of exhibitors.
On the line-up are international exhibitors like NINO MIER GALLERY (New York /Brussels), Revolver Galería (Lima), El Apartamento (Madrid/La Habana), and reputed U.S. galleries like Michael Kohn Gallery (Los Angeles), Jessica Silverman (San Francisco), and Hollis Taggart (New York).
They will be joined by local Texan exhibitors like Barbara Davis Gallery (Houston), Meliksetian | Briggs (Dallas), and Moody Gallery (Houston).
Meanwhile, the expanded ‘Nest’ sector will showcase emerging spaces like Alice Amati (London), Martha’s (Austin), and Murmurs (Los Angeles).
With over a hundred companies relocating their headquarters to Texas since 2020, including Fortune 500 firms like Oracle, Tesla, and Charles Schwab, the new fair hopes to capitalise on this economic growth and engage new audiences.
The inaugural fair will partner with Houston institutions like the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and Menil Collection, while donating a portion of ticket sales to the Rothko Chapel.
Miami’s Untitled Art is set to follow at Miami Beach from 3 to 7 December 2025. —[O]
