Dan Fischer (b. Brooklyn, N.Y., USA, 1977) graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the School of Art and Design, Alfred University (1999).
Recent solo shows include Derek Eller Gallery, New York (2013) and Alison Jacques Gallery, London (2011). His work has been included in the international group exhibitions Introspective, A group exhibition of self portraits, BravinLee programs, New York (2016); Year After Year: Drawings from the UBS Art Collection, Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Milan (2014); Top Drawer: Select Drawings from the High’s Collection, High Museum of Art, Atlanta (2014); Lifelike, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis (2012); The Anniversary Show, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2009); Picturing the Studio, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, (2009) and Two Years, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2008).
Fischer’s work has been acquired by international collections including Tate, London; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; and The Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
Fischer lives and works in Bay Shore, New York, USA.
