The works of the four artists coverthe fields of sculpture, painting and drawing, marking thepolyphonic configuration of our presentation as it drawsinterdisciplinary parallels with the other works that comprise it.

Among Yamagata’s works are new sculptures and object-paintings that use materials as diverse as dehydrated seacreatures, velvet, bamboo, silicone fiber and plush, establishinguneasy relationships between the seduction of upholsteredmaterials and saturated colors and the grotesque and disfiguredfrom horror images. Ironic and mutant, these works convey thecurrent state of the artist’s work, indicating the developments ofher research so far.
