PKM Gallery proudly highlights Korean modern and contemporary art by presenting selected artworks by representatives of this period. For presented artist, works by Sang Nam Lee, who has collected icons and signs left by human civilisation, and has created a unique ‘abstract landscape’ by composing and combining numerous geometric symbols through ‘chewing on’ these graphics, paintings by Suh Seung-Won, who is a pioneer of geometric abstract art of Korea and has pursued and visualised the theory of ‘Simultaneity’ for over 50 years and represented the modern paintings rooted in the Korean spiritual culture, and paintings by Yeong Do Jeong, whose works depicts the collision between the inner mind and the external world in his paintings, based on images he acquired while growing up in two different cultures of the East and West, highlight the past and the present of Korean art.
