I thank my books.
They guide me, help me, and bring me peace.
Although it is a bit troublesome when I move home.
I also made a wish, once the exhibition is over, I want to read books in my book alcove, to experience a different life.
Opening 25 September at Tabula Rasa Beijing, anusman's solo exhibition 胸噫 features a series of recent work on paper, including the aritst's diary drawings, stories inspired from news and real-life events, and illustrated reading notes. As the artist accounts, 'In the past years, I feel that my life is parallel to and in sync with the society; the huge sufferings are echoed in myself as small miseries and confusions. As the show comes to a whole, my response to reality is not alone, but perhaps shared by us all.'
This is anusman's third solo exhibition with the gallery.
