WAKO WORKS OF ART is a contemporary art gallery that celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022. Since its establishment as a contemporary art gallery in the Nishi-Shinjuku neighborhood of Tokyo in 1992, WAKO WORKS OF ART has been dedicated to contributing to the contemporary art scene in Japan, with a focus on the social role of art. The gallery relocated to the Roppongi neighborhood in 2011, seeking a larger exhibition space and to be closer to the cultural hub of Tokyo. The gallery represents 15 world-renowned artists and is active in the introduction of works by important artists who have not been shown in Japan. Additionally, the gallery translates and publishes critical texts and interviews related to the artists it represents.
