Chris Zhongtian Yuan graduated from the Architectural Association and the University of Minnesota. Guided by an immersive period of research and performative component, their recent work recomposes sound, archival images, and narratives to build new collective myths. Through sensorial and emotive ways of making and understanding, Yuan's practices aim to reimagine, challenge, and thus dismantle the established classifications of identity, linear time as well as power structures.

Recently the visiting artist and lecturer at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), they have also lectured at institutions including Courtauld Institute of Art, Architectural Association and OCAT Institute.
Yuan currently lives and works in London.
