Gori Mora Biography

Gori Mora (b. 1992, Mallorca, Spain) lives and works in Glasgow, where he graduated with an MA in Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art in 2018.

Mora’s current practice focuses on exploring unique representations of personal experiences, which place his lived reality as a queer artist within the larger socio-political context of mutual queer connections. His work speaks to the innate human desire for intimacy and connection where – for some – the personal becomes political.

Mora’s work has been highlighted in multiple solo exhibitions, including _Being In Touch (2023) and Layering Intimacy (2022), Galería Pelaires, Mallorca and #Luvthebody (2019), _Casa de Cultura, Mallorca. Selected group exhibitions include Homebodies, Voices (online), Unit, London (2023);Imagining Reality, Future Gallery, Berlin (2022); _Pounding The Pavemen_t, curated by Hector Campbell, Galería Pelaires, Mallorca (2022); and Come Out & Play, curated by Andrew Salgado, BEERS London (2022).

His work Stormy day was acquired by X Museum, CN (2023), and his project My Florence Souvenir is in the collection of the Royal Scottish Academy of Edinburgh (2018).
