LING YUNG

Ling Yung’s artistic oeuvre can be characterized as neither “novel” nor “assertive,” but rather as a profoundly intrinsic and prolific representation of delicate cognition. The artist skillfully portrays plants and human subjects, challenging the conventional stereotypes that society has assigned to them. Inspired by people, animals, landscapes, and the natural world, Ling’s paintings undergo a continuous metamorphosis, oscillating gracefully between nuanced emotions and mythic abstractions. Her works are filled with intuitive lines, brushstrokes and passages of colors.

Within her creations, one would discover intuitive lines, brushstrokes, and color palettes that are both graceful and warmly expressive. Within her dynamic canvas, the female figures and animals that Ling Yung brings to life exude a true and compelling vitality, as it resonates from the very core of their being.

Ling Yung is currently living and working in Taipei, Taiwan.
