For her first retrospective exhibition in France, the American artist Martine Syms is transforming the whole Fondation into a concept store of a new kind.

In Total, visitors can experience a total work of art, as a selection of works created by the artist since 2007 dialogue with merchandise produced especially for this occasion.

About the Artist

Martine Syms has gained international recognition for an art practice that weaves together humour, social commentary, and grit to draw attention to representations of Blackness throughout film and art history. A self-proclaimed conceptual entrepreneur, Syms works predominantly with video, text, performance, and moving image.
