ARTISSIMA 2025

In this presentation, we propose a carefully curated series of works on paper: compositions in pencil, oil pastel, and acrylic that trace the quiet, deliberate evolution of Finkenauer’s visual lexicon. Her forms are intuitive yet precise, playful yet deeply intentional. Together, these works form a choreography of marks and silences, where variation in size and technique generates a syncopated rhythm, a visual score that draws viewers in at every scale.

At the heart of the space, we envision a central wall featuring a pyramid arrangement of geometric drawings on paper: a constellation of forms that acts as a focal point and anchor. This will be accompanied by two large-format works from her newest Patterns series, alongside more intimate pieces: a delicate drawing from her Flowers series and other small-scale works that enrich the narrative with their subtlety and restraint.

Extending beyond the paper, Finkenauer will intervene directly on the architecture of the booth itself. A large-scale wall mural, spontaneous and site-specific, will echo the fluidity of her drawings while uniting the space with her signature clarity and poise. This painted gesture acts not as backdrop, but as an active element of the exhibition, weaving together the diversity of scale and medium into one continuous visual conversation.

This proposal promises to be an evocative addition to Artissima’s Disegni section. Like a contemplative offering, this presentation is an invitation to slow looking and deep engagement, where meaning arises through repetition, variation, and space.
