For EXPO Chicago 2026, Karma will present paintings and sculptures by modern and contemporary artists, including Gertrude Abercrombie, Yvonne Jacquette, Maja Ruznic, and Kathleen Ryan, alongside a special presentation of works by Jeremy Frey.

Spotlighting the Maine-based Passamaquoddy artist, Karma will show a focused selection of Frey’s baskets, prints, and flatweaves. The seven vessels on display, which date from 2004 to 2007, demonstrate the forms and techniques of Wabanaki basketry at the core of his evolving practice. Frey’s innovations within the medium, for which he was recently honored with a 2025 MacArthur Foundation fellowship, appear throughout the presentation.
