LUCA GILLI has been developing for several years personal techniques and topics of photographic research. Samples of his work belong to private collections or can be watched in Italian and European museums of photography and contemporary art (Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, Kunstbibliothek in Berlin, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg, Musée Réattu in Arles, Musée des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, etc.). In 2004 he was invited to the showing of “L’Ecole Photographique de Reggio Emilia”, performed by Gens d’Images at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris. In 2005 the ECUME – Association (Echanges Culturels en Méditerranée) in Marseille asked him to take part to the Atelier de Créa- tion Photographique sur la Ville during the Festival Méditerranéen d’Alexandrie: photo, musique, cinéma. The works, brought out in the atelier, were exhibited at the Mahmoud Saïd’s Museum in Alexandria. In the same year the Italian Council in Cairo dedicated him an important individual exhibition. Afterwards his projects were shown, in Italy and abroad, in many individual and collective exhibitions, either in institutional locations or in private galleries. In 2011 he participated in the event “European Photography” in Reggio Emilia with the project “Daily Menu” and in the Milan Image Art Fair with the project “Panthalassa”. During the Rencontres in Arles, he also performed two individual exhibitions: “Iceland: The Absolute Landscape” and “Blank”. In 2012 “Blank” was showed by Confluence Gallery in Nantes and at the Paris Art Fair.
