b. 1943, AustraliaJohn Firth-Smith is one of Australia’s leading abstract painters. Over a career that spans four decades, he has been included in numerous museum exhibitions in Australia and overseas. His work is held by every major public collection in Australia as well as numerous corporate and private collections. A major monograph on his work, John Firth-Smith: A Voyage that Never Ends, written by Gavin Wilson, was published by Fine Arts Press in 1999.
