Ang Song Nian works across photography, installation, and moving image, exploring how human intervention leaves traces within natural and urban landscapes. His practice examines cycles of control, care, and erasure, revealing how these gestures shape environments over time.
His solo exhibitions include Artificial Conditions: Something to Grow Into (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, 2019), with earlier presentations in Singapore, the UK, and Thailand.
Ang’s work has been shown internationally, including at the Singapore Art Museum and NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore. He is a recipient of the Grand Prize at the 41st New Cosmos of Photography (Canon, 2018), lectures at Nanyang Technological University, and is the founder of THEBOOKSHOW, a platform for self-published photobooks.
