Since 2015, artist Ke Shizhong has donated the proceeds from the charity sale of his sketching works to Puli Christian Hospital to invest in the hospital's necessary preparation funds. "Landscape Posts" begins with the "Human Landscape" series, taking viewers to stroll through the azure port, the stone steps overlooking the Tranquility Sea, the winding and narrow alleys, and the colorful gardens. Artist Ke Shizhong
Born in Nantou, Taiwan, in 1966, he graduated from the Western Painting Group of the National Academy of Art in 1987 and obtained a Master of Fine Arts from Fontbonne Art Institute in the United States in 1991. So far, he is a professor in the Department of Cultural and Creative Design of Nankai University of Science and Technology and director of Nankai Art Center. He has served as a jury member for large-scale art exhibitions such as Dadun Art Exhibition, Yushan Art Exhibition, and National Art Exhibition, and has spared no effort in art education and charity.
Ke Shizhong grew up in a family of artists in Nantou. His father, Ke Yaodong, was a famous local ink painter in Taiwan, and his mother, Guo Jigui, was good at flower and bird painting and pottery. Influenced by his ears and eyes, Ke Shizhong also developed his own artistic path using Western painting media. The artist's early creations were mostly based on realistic landscapes. After studying in the United States until now, he has gradually simplified and deconstructed themes, lines, colors, and textures, presenting freehand landscapes intertwined between figuration and abstraction, full of gentle and sonorous unique vocabulary.
