The Marciano Art Foundation is a contemporary art space housed in a historical building in the heart of Los Angeles. Working with established and emerging artists from around the world, the Foundation presents innovative exhibitions and public programs on an ongoing basis. With over 1,500 works in the Marciano Art Collection, the Foundation continues to support living artists through acquisitions and loans artworks to museums and institutions worldwide.
Opened in spring 2017, the Marciano Art Foundation encompasses more than 100,000 square feet of space. Originally designed by Millard Sheets in 1961 as a Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, the building was fully repurposed and renovated by Kulapat Yantrasast of wHY Architecture in its new role as a contemporary art space.
The Marciano Art Foundation is always free and open to the public, maintaining the Foundation’s commitment to providing equitable access to the arts for all.
