Art events company Creo today announced they will introduce a new photography fair in Hong Kong next year.

PHOTOFAIRS Hong Kong will take place on the city's harbour front in Central from 26 to 30 March, rubbing shoulders with existing art fairs Art Central (26–30 March) and Art Basel Hong Kong (28–30 March).

The new fair will be led by Fan Ni, director of PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, which takes place in May.

'We are so pleased to bring PHOTOFAIRS to Hong Kong and to continue our mission to create spaces for the discovery and cultivation of photography in the Asia Pacific region,' Fan Ni said.

'Hong Kong Art Week is a cornerstone in the annual art calendar and we look forward to joining the celebrations and to welcoming galleries, collectors, patrons and visitors to the Central Harbourfront,' she added.

PHOTOFAIRS Hong Kong is organised by Creo in partnership with majority shareholder Angus Montgomery Arts (AMA), Meta Media, and Hong Kong events company Great Entertainment Group (GEG).

AMA's other art fairs include Taipei Dangdai, India Art Fair, ART SG, and Tokyo Gendai, which will next year move from July to September to beat the heat.

'Hong Kong is a global art center uniquely positioned to welcome both the regional and international art communities, making it the perfect location for PHOTOFAIRS,' said Creo's founder and CEO, Scott Gray. —[O]
