Held annually at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei Dangdai Art & Ideas is a cornerstone of the East Asian art calendar, bringing together a line-up of regional and international galleries alongside curated exhibitions and thought-provoking conversations. With a focus on contemporary art from across the Asia-Pacific region, the fair offers a dynamic platform for collectors, curators, and the public to discover both emerging and established voices shaping the global art landscape.
Taipei Dangdai's structure includes a core Galleries sector, as well as Edge—a platform for experimental practices—and Engage, which presents historically significant works. Beyond the booths, the fair features large-scale installations and site-specific projects, further activating the exhibition space and encouraging new ways of looking.
The Ideas Forum, a central component of the fair's programming, brings together artists, writers, and curators in a series of talks and panels that examine cultural, social, and political questions relevant to contemporary art today. These dialogues are supported by collaborative initiatives with Taiwan's Ministry of Culture and leading institutions, creating a bridge between local contexts and global conversations.
As part of The Art Assembly—which also includes ART SG and Tokyo Gendai—Taipei Dangdai continues to position itself as a vital meeting point for cross-cultural exchange, where bold ideas, strong aesthetics, and critical perspectives come together in one of Asia's most exciting cultural capitals.
