The Voyage – See Our Reality Anew is both a physical journey and a reimagining of how the fabric of history and art intertwine, transforming our perception of time and place. The exhibition welcomes viewers to step into flashes of history—vibrant, charged fragments that pulse with energy and meaning. These dynamic constellations—from the revolutionary currents of the 19th century to the emergent modern era—trace the routes where ideas and artistic visions intersect and redefine the human experience.

Each chapter of history becomes not a fixed narrative but a confluence of voices, where understanding of time collapses, and fragments of past and present converge to reveal new questions and possibilities. What we experience are not linear stories, but constellations of moments—each one alive with potential, layered with connections waiting to be discovered.

Set within the unique Victorian-era architecture of the gallery, The Voyage invites visitors to take part in a journey through nonlinear history, where the historical walls and floorboards seem to resonate with echoes of transformative stories brought into the present moment. This journey becomes an act of discovery, as each artwork radiates a sense of transformation, drawing viewers into an intimate dialogue that intertwines memory, place, and belonging. Encouraging visitors to pause and feel connections between artistic expression and objects charged with memory and meaning.

Benjamin’s concept of “Jetztzeit” (now-time) acts as a guiding framework for the Summer Salon. Each artwork explores a ‘constellation,’ a moment where the past and present converge, urging viewers to see our reality with fresh eyes. Art, in this sense, is not merely a way to preserve memory but a catalyst for renewal—revealing new layers of meaning that transcend the confines of time.

The Voyage, much like compositions in art, reveal constellations and new perspectives that challenge us to rethink “Jetztzeit”—a fleeting flash in time that transforms how we See Our Reality Anew.
