Noémie Goudal Biography

Noémie Goudal’s (b. 1984) practiceinvolves the construction of ambitious staged, illusionisticinstallations within the landscape, documented using film andphotography. Goudal’s oeuvre expands photography across its standardparameters into immersive installations and performances, underpinned byrigorous research examining the intersection of ecology andanthropology and the limitations of theoretical conceptions of thenatural world. Goudal’s latest work unravels an artistic dialogue withthe field of palaeoclimatology, analysing climate and geology from thevantage point of “deep time” to acquire an understanding of our planet’strajectory.

Noémie Goudal graduated from the Royal College of Art (UK) in2010 with an MA in Photography. She was shortlisted for the Prix MarcelDuchamp 2024.
