Intangible delves into the ramifications of socio-political struggles as interpreted through theperspectives of various artists.
These videos, animations and films address aspectrum of issues, from protests and the demise ofyouth due to ongoing wars, to immigration and theinterplay between collective cultural copingmechanisms and political unrest. Subtly, they serveas a mouthpiece for a silenced cry for change.
The immersive audio-visual experience within thedarkened exhibition space envelops the viewer, evoking the sensation of standing amidst adissonance of simultaneous conversations. Theimagery lingers in the mind, ranging fromexpressionist animations paired with “mantra-like”soundscapes, to documented testimonies ofstruggle, to recreated scenes of war and its culture-specific traditions.
What is “intangible” is what cannot be physicallygrasped, repaired, or altered. It is the realm of rawemotion and instinctive reactions to lived andperceived realities.
