Galerie Urs Meile is pleased to announce a special presentation of the work of Julia Steiner (*1982, Büren zum Hof, Switzerland) as part of Kunsthoch 2019. The Kunsthoch-action day invites the public to discover 26 contemporary art spaces in and around Lucerne. The presentation at Galerie Urs Meile will feature the installation Fragmente der Welten by Julia Steiner, which consists of 220 objects collected by the artist from 2005 to 2016. An artist book documenting the collection was published by Edizioni Periferia in a limited edition this year. On this occasion Julia Steiner will be present on August 31 at 2pm to talk about the installation and her artist book.

About the Gallery

Since its establishment in 1992, Galerie Urs Meile has contributed to the presentation and dissemination of contemporary art, from painting and sculpture to photography, installation and video. The gallery is working from two locations: Lucerne (Switzerland) and Beijing (China). While its center of operations is based in Switzerland, the Beijing gallery has established itself as an international meeting place for collectors, curators, artists and aficionados of the arts.
