For this year’s fair, we will present digital artist, Saeko Ehara’s works. Inspired by the joy and excitement she experienced from the anime and classical paintings of her childhood, Ehara creates Kirakira (sparkling) art using AI and generative technology. Ehara’s latest works are also currently on exhibit at Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions, so please take this opportunity to visit her display.

Saeko Ehara is a Kirakira (sparkling) artist and VJ based in Tokyo. Through her latest works, Ehara explores several different ways to combine AI and Generative Art to render various aspects of Kirakira. In her ongoing pursuit of various Kirakira expressions, the artist researches a myriad of technological methods without any limitation on her artistic approach. Through her work, Ehara seeks to make the world full of Kirakira.

In addition to several major exhibitions worldwide, key highlights of Ehara’s growing list of achievements include her solo exhibition, Van Gogh X Japan (Theater of Digital Art, Dubai / AE); group shows, Immersive Museum TOKYO 2023 (Japan), Bright Moments Tokyo (Japan); and her feature in the publication, 100 Japanese Motion Graphic Creators NEWCOMER 100 JAPANESE MOTION GRAPHIC CREATORS, to name a few.

About the Artist

Saeko Ehara is a Kirakira (sparkling) artist and VJ based in Tokyo. In her latest works, Ehara explores different ways to combine AI and Generative Art and render various aspects of ‘Kirakira’. A process of learning and change, the inspiration behind the artist’s work comes from memories and joys of her childhood: drawing, collecting Kirakira cards of her favorite Anime, stickers, toys, acrylic jewels, small glassworks, and reading illustrated books of flowers.
