This year Mizuma Art Gallery is pleased to present a two-artist exhibition of work by HORI Kosai and KIM Tae-Ho (b.1948). HORI Kosai has been a uniquely powerful force within Japanese art since the 1960s, when as the leader of the Bikyōtō movement he pioneered new methods of artistic expression which became heralded as the beginnings of Post Mono-ha, working across the media of painting, installation and performance. In this exhibition we present new paintings by Hori together with work by the celebrated Korean painter of the same generation, Kim Tae-Ho, a representative figure within the legacy of the Dansaekhwa aesthetic.
