Born in Osaka in 1977, Futo Akiyoshi currently lives and works in Nagoya. Graduated from Nagoya University of Arts in 2001 and completed the Post Graduate and Research Program in Art in 2003. Stayed in Berlin since 2011 through 2018, granted for Emerging Artist of Overseas Study Grant of Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japan in 2011—2012 and also granted for Oversea Research, Pola Art Foundation in 2013.
