TOKYO GENDAI 2024

The Page Gallery is pleased to present a solo booth by artist Yoon Sang Yuel (b. 1970) at Pacifico Yokohama for Tokyo Gendai 2024, from 5 July to 7 July 2024. Yoon’s signature series, Silence, will be represented in the Eda sector reserved for well-established artists. The combination of computer and manual drawings results in the ‘linear painting’. He creates seemingly impossible visual effects by repeatedly drawing countless delicate lines, then layering transparent materials on top of the line layer to create optical challenges. Yoon’s work, which emanates from his own personal study of fear, takes us through the infinite depths of light into a world of serenity. The Silence series had a rave reviewed in the group show of three highly achieved Korean artists at Frieze No.9 Cork Street in London in April.
