Brett East is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice covers painting and drawing as well as photomedia and digital imaging. He has had six solo exhibitions in Sydney and has been included in group and curated exhibitions in regional, private and institutional galleries throughout Australia. His work is held in collections at the Art Gallery of NSW and the National Art School in Sydney as well as numerous private collections across Australia and overseas. He has undertaken the Australia Council’s Tokyo Residency (2006) and has had paintings hung in the Blake Prize, Sydney and Fleurieu Prize for Australian Landscape, McLaren Vale. In 2010 he won the Australian Centre for Photography’s Photo Rally Prize for Best Black and White Image.
